DEAR ALL
from my previous visits I have noticed the following points:
1. We came to know about nearly 10-15 more children are not going to school. Due to lack of time and prior knowledge about them we didn’t approached them. But next time we will atleast try to meet them properly.
2. Today the response was very good and even better than earlier because we have seen many new faces today.
3. Talked to few ladies there and found that they wanted us to teach their children, which is practically not possible, but we can mentor them and how we will decide in the meeting.
4. Improvement: Last time we told a boy(12-13 year old) to attend the school and he tried to get admission(hats off), but didn’t get. So we have to make sure he and others like him will get admission.
5. While talking to villagers came to know some reasons why children(12-13 year old) dropout like money factor, parents casual behaviour etc. So a I think there is a need of an awareness program type thing.
6. The comfort level of most of the children has gone high, they cherish when we spent time with them. When we told them we will come after 14 days they became sad and insisting us to come. I told them we will meet them on thursday. That day meeting will be very short like atmax 1 hour of interactive session. Those who want to go can tell me.
7. And visiting the school is still remaining.

One thing that I want to emphasize that going to village every sunday is like an oscillating pendulum. We will spent some energy there then come to our hostels again. I want atleast our team and work to be more structured and well documented. I have been waiting for a enough number of visits to happen. Now this is the time when all of us know the village properly. So everyone should focus on future plans more like the holistic development of the village in terms of :
1. Awareness: Like Legal awareness(what are the government controlled programs for them and and how NGOs can play a role in their development).
2. Vocational courses: Many students dropout because of money factor so 14-16 years old children can earn and study at the same time without at the cost of their future. And it will build their confidence in themselves.
3. Categorization of the village children under age groups so that a focused approach can be followed for maximum output.(Discussion needed)
4. Discussion on website of Parivartan (Means initial layout of website). (Jaswant you specially ready for it) and how the documentation should be disclosed because I think it should be disclosed to people.
5. Health Awareness: Should collect the statistics how often Medical camps are conducted there and motivate people to attend them. Uplift their understanding about various diseases.
6. And most important point to put here to KEEP THEM ALWAYS MOTIVATED.

Thank You

during our visit on 19 April(extracting time from tight schedule) we have noticed following points..
1. today we have covered 15 houses and felt a very great interaction with parents. some parents were feeling very shame that their children are not going to school.
2. the children below age of 4 are going to “anganbadi” not to school.
3. Mostly children having age above 4 are going to school but not in regular manner.
4.some parents were feeling that we are talking about their children schooling for our own selfishness or our own purpose, like tuition , tuition fees etc
so we have cleared their doubt.
5. one lady was saying that her family spent 25000 rupees on her child’s complete education and till now that child only learnt “going to school and come back from school”.
because of shortage of time this was very small visit with 3 members.so after our exams we will continue….
thanks

This plan caters to children from ages 5-11 years and provides:

1. Preschool education to small children who are not yet of school going age

2. Alternative education to children who do not go to school and those who have dropped out of school because they cannot keep up..

3. Support education to those who go to school but are unable to keep up with the school work.

Challenges

The children are first generation learners and the their families lack awareness regarding education. The children are often involved in economic activities to support their families. These children then follow the footsteps of their families and are never exposed to opportunities that come with better education. This coupled with frequent migrations and economic hardships makes the job of attracting and sustaining continuous attendance in school a tough job.

Does Healthcare Need Healing?

V2WGYPG49ZSU

People trust medical practitioners, believing that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to safeguard their health. But when this knowledge is misused to exploit this trust, medical care becomes a nightmare. The profession is riddled with unscrupulous doctors and hospitals out to make big bucks at the cost of patients, but there are still medical practitioners who stand up for the Hippocratic Oath, and those who want to clean up the profession.

http://www.satyamevjayate.in/

http://mumbaihospitalhelp.com/community/

Hippocratic Oath
I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:
I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.

I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or the chemist’s drug.

I will not be ashamed to say “I know not”, nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient’s recovery.

I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given to me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.

I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person’s family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.

I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.

I will remember that I remain a member of society with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.

If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, be respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.
